Excellent stereo soundboard recording.
I can see why on the Smiling Through the Darkness compilation the first 10 tracks of this performance only were selected...some of the later tracks on this gig lack passion compared to the 3 and 4th November tracks featured on that set.
However the audience absolutely loved it! Bowie seems bowled over by their reaction at the end, and bids a longer goodbye than at most gigs, congratulating the crowd as he does so - "incroyable" (he is addressing a largely French speaking audience), "fantastique"!
BUT like I say this is an excellent soundboard set, and more interesting than many would expect (80s Bowie gets a lots of knocks).
